My students need a bus that can take them to Jefferson City! Most of these students will never leave Springfield. I want them to have the opportunity to see our capitol.

My Students
My students are amazing! I have spent the past two years with them and they are the most intelligent, highly energetic group of students I could ask for. They love to learn and are super excited about the possibility of going to Jefferson City.
My school is a Title One school with a group of highly motivated teachers who want to make this field trip happen!
I love the staff and the students at my school. Our principal has encouraged us to take risks! That is what I am doing. I feel our students are the most amazing and deserving students out there!
My Project
We are asking for transportation fees. I think the trip is an amazing learning opportunity and do not want to ask parents to pay for the entire trip. We are also doing a Missouri Museum for our school and parents to earn money for the trip. Each student chooses a famous Missourian and learns all about that person. Then, students "perform" as the famous Missourian as if they were in a wax museum.
I believe that it is so important for them to understand the basics of our government and how it operates.
I want them to understand what the capitol building is comprised of and how we can be citizens who can make a difference by voting and learning about our government.
