My students are eager to learn, enthusiastic, fun, and independent. They are aware of everything around them and aren't afraid to let you know what they think. This is why I love teaching middle school. As a math teacher, I am aware that my class may not necessarily be their favorite, but it is my goal to win them over by creating a positive, tranquil environment.

My Project
Our flexible seating has been amazing! With some of the new floor options, we are finding that some more tweaks are needed. Some areas need things like lap desks and clipboards to be able to better write and be comfortable.
We will also be doing some upcoming projects that require a lot of post-its and supplies.
These projects are engaging and fun for students. Student engagement is so important in a math class. Math is often not a student's favorite subject, but it is my goal to change their minds!
I have seen how flexible seating can positively affect students work and demeanor and hope that these new seating options will continue to help us grow!
