Help me give my students opportunities to relieve stress with their very own classroom stress relief lab, complete with a foot massager! We also hope for a connection corner with games and an activity timer for P.E.!

My Students

My students have done a phenomenal job of being resilient through the struggles with COVID-19. I am a health and physical education teacher, and COVID has impacted the opportunities we have to interact in our classroom and in the gym. The students have worked hard to adapt as needed and keep things fun, but they deserve more support. I hope to provide that support through this Donors Choose project.

My Project

One of the unfortunate realities of the COVID-19 pandemic is the increased isolation experienced by so many students. Many have lost out on precious opportunities to learn how to connect and interact with their peers in a real, face-to-face environment. Our Connection Corner is intended to help students learn to interact with each other without technology and to help teach them build interpersonal relationship skills via games and activities.

In addition to connection, students are in need of more support to help them recognize and mitigate stress.

We hope to create a classroom stress relief center where students are able to spend time decompressing, in the hopes that they are able to move forward and learn from a safer and more productive mental place.
