Mr. Jaynes’ Distant Learning Project

My Students

My students are from a suburb of Sacramento, California and take a variety of mathematics courses. They are students who will be taking Geometry, Algebra 2, and Pre-Calculus. My classroom promotes students to interact with mathematics in multiple ways.

Students are constantly working together to obtain new knowledge as well as reflecting on what they have learned to gain a deeper understanding.

While mathematics may not be every students' favorite subject, students enjoy being in my classroom and persevering through the material!

My Project

This project is designed to allow me to give students a better experience during our distant learning. My project will allow me the technology at home to record quality videos, write/give feedback digitally, and ultimately create a better in class instruction (when we return to school).

These devices will allow me to write digitally to give feedback on assignments, have students watch me go over mathematical concepts on the screen, and then allow me to wirelessly transmit my writing to my smartboard when we can return to the classroom.
