Moving and Grooving Learners!

Help me give my students flexible seating options in their special education classroom to allow them a choice for movement while they are doing hard things! We need small stacking stools and wiggle stools.

My Project

My students are special as they crave movement but are required to sit for 7 hours a day in a plastic chair. Children are made to be in motion and flexible seating options allow just that. Students can wiggle and have that sensory input they need while being actively engaged in learning. I currently have many yoga balls and a few 12 inch wobble stools in my room that were perfect until they quickly began outgrowing these small stools. My students would benefit so much from new seating so they can stretch their ever growing legs! Students have so many rules and expectations while at school and allowing them a choice in seating in the classroom would be so beneficial for my special learners!
