My Project

One of the biggest challenges when changing grade levels from First Grade to Fourth Grade will be the need for a bigger and better library. I had the pleasure of teaching many of the upcoming fourth-graders when they were in first grade, and they love to read! Creating a safe, warm, and inviting area is critical in keeping their passion for reading alive as they navigate a new grade level. The use of Big Joe Classic Beanbags, soft, velvet throw pillows, and a plush area rug will create just the space these students will love to relax in while reading their favorite books.

By donating to our project, you will not only help us to create a great space for students to read, but you will also ultimately help to increase their passion to learn.

Students will be able to simply lose themselves in a good book by feeling safe and comfortable. They will have access to some amazing books, by a couple of the best authors in the business, at their fingertips! When students develop a passion for reading, they develop a passion for life-long learning!
