Anchor charts highlight the most important aspects of a lesson and help teachers focus on, and allow students to remember, the most important concepts and skills being taught. Anchor charts improve student comprehension and are designed to scaffold students' learning. Having visual support to reference during group and independent practice is crucial for learners within all ability levels. I intend to provide anchor charts in all curriculum areas for students to reference key focus skills during whole group and small group instruction. Students will develop a confidence in their own academic abilities knowing that support is readily available to them.
