Help me give my students the flexible seating they need to stay focused. Their little bodies crave movement and this chair provides both movement and stability. A hands-on addition and subtraction kit will surely get their attention!

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students in diverse Southern California are bright, eager learners that work best when given hands-on, interactive materials to work with. Each student has unique needs and abilities as well as individual interests.
Their faces light up when they are given the chance to work with their hands on meaningful, creative and interactive projects where they are discovering information for themselves.
My students require a solid structure and routine but with the ability to be free to engage in meaningful work at their own pace.
My Project
Have you ever had to sit in a chair all day? It's so uncomfortable! My students have a variety of abilities and needs and most students have the sensory need to move around and be active throughout the day. Flexible seating allows them not only to be independent and choose their own spot around the room, but it also gives them the opportunity to move their bodies and release extra energy. The addition and subtraction kit will help them become engaged and exciting about learning! This will give them the motivation they need.
