We are using the new floor cushion seats and low-back floor chairs during reading groups and independent work time. One special moment happened during our reading block when students were spread out around the room with their new seats, fully engaged in their books and sharing ideas with partners. The classroom felt calm, productive, and full of excitement for learning.\r\n\r\nWhen my students first saw the materials, their faces lit up with curiosity . They were so excited to have new seating . They asked me when can they meditate? Many students said the room felt more welcoming and \"like a real learning space.\" Their enthusiasm reminded me how much environment matters when it comes to motivation and confidence.\r\n\r\nThese resources will continue to support our students as we move into future lessons and projects. Our next steps include using the flexible seating during small-group instruction, and collaborative problems. Students will also use the seating during research projects, where they can work comfortably while reading, taking notes, and discussing ideas with classmates. They can do this during their book clubs as well. Thank you for helping create a classroom where students feel supported, engaged, and excited to learn each day. I can't wait to for our current teacher strike to end . My students will use the project to meditate and heal with the teachers.","fullyFundedDate":1769177624040,"projectUrl":"project/its-the-environment/9934059/","projectTitle":"It’s the Environment!","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Haro","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-4_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10363806"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_28904","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":294,"numTeachers":19,"percentFrplEligible":66,"percentAsian":4,"percentBlack":3,"percentWhite":2,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":89,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","percentHawaiianImputed":0,"percentMultiracialImputed":1,"gradesServed":"Pre-K - 5","studentTeacherRatio":"15.5:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":89.6,"schoolId":28904,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Paddison Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Paddison Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/california/little-lake-city-school-district/paddison-elementary-school/28904"}
