Students in my class study multimedia, digital art, animation, graphic design, photography, video production, computer programming, 3D modeling, 3D animation and game design.
Students design and manage their own projects and work independently and in teams to learn skills.
Most of my students have never created an app, designed a game, used Adobe software - Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, Animate, used a DSLR camera, created inventions using digital electronics or written computer code.
Students learn problem-solving skills through brainstorming and designing projects, using software and Apps to complete the projects and through meeting deadlines.
My Project
Students will use the iPad Pro, digital pens and Apps to create Digital Art and produce Movies that tell stories.
Students will use the iPad Pro to develop ideas, mock up designs, create graphic designs -- sketch, draw, paint, and create movies -- film, add special effects, add audio and edit movies.
Students will use Apps -- Procreate, Adobe Capture, Adobe Illustrator Draw, Photoshop Mix and others to create stunning Graphic Designs.
Procreate offers massive canvases with the fastest 64-bit painting engine and optimization for the iPad’s multiple cores. All of this makes for an incredible level of detail while painting, including 64-bit color, 250 levels of undo and redo and auto-save.
Students will create and edit amazing movies right on the iPad using Apps - Adobe Premiere Clip and LumaFusion.
LumaFusion provides power and flexibility to create digital stories, and provides tutorial videos to make it easy to get going quickly and master its amazing tools. LumaFusion is a powerful multi-track video editor used by mobile journalists, filmmakers and professional video producers to tell compelling video stories.
Students will use Behance, Instagram, YouTube, Vimeo, and Twitter Apps to showcase their work and discover other creative work.
Students will increase their self confidence and technical skills while becoming more motivated through the development of projects. Students will create digital stories that showcase other students at our school, people and events in our community and promote the classes taught at our school. Students will increase their confidence through stepping outside of our classroom, working with others at our school and in our community and managing their projects.
Students will promote our school and community through digital stories shared on social media, school wide televisions, school newsletter and our class website.
