This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I work with a unique and diverse group of students in the Multiple Disabilities Program at the Blackstone Elementary School in Boston. Our program includes 4 classrooms from PreK to 6th grade. I help provide inclusive learning opportunity as well as support teachers and families.
One of the most exciting parts of my job is leading a weekly movement group that focus on moving the body, breath awareness, mindfulness and relaxation.
At this time I lead a 15-30 minute group for each classroom in the program. The materials requested in this project will help my students participate more fully in the group.
