My Students

I work with the most amazing, compassionate, creative 11 and 12 year olds here in our small town of Fremont, Nebraska:) Each day, no matter what outside factors may happen to be impacting their lives, they enter the classroom with smiles on their faces and an open mind! School is an environment that motivates and intellectually challenges our students, providing them with a safe, nurturing space to call their own.

Our students are thoughtful and full of questions!

They want to know more about their world and where they fit within it; learning more about themselves, their classmates, and engaging in activities that help them move and build mind/body connections will assist in broadening their understanding of others and why fitness is a powerful force in attaining their goals and excelling in their dreams.

My Project

Students will be able to use the fitness chairs within the classroom to facilitate movement while learning, help reduce a lack of focus and engagement and build core strength at the same time.

Students will learn to work cooperatively by using the parachute for group games and problem-solving tasks, building interpersonal and kinesthetic abilities.

It is my hope that students can build a growth mindset, both in and out of the classroom, facilitating a positive mindset overall that wil travel with them throughout their lives, building strong, capable individuals who can meet any goal in life.
