Because of your donations of fidgets and laminating pouches, my students now have tools that support both their learning and their emotional regulation every single day.\r\n\r\nWhile fidgets and laminating supplies might not sound like \"technology\" in the traditional sense, they absolutely function like learning tools that make our classroom more accessible and effective. The laminating pouches allow me to create durable, reusable learning materials, task cards, visual schedules, choice boards, behavior charts, hands-on games, and small group activities that we use again and again. Instead of paper worksheets that get used once and thrown away, students now interact with materials using dry-erase markers, manipulatives, and collaborative activities. This makes learning more hands-on, more engaging, and much more sustainable. It also saves valuable class time because students can quickly grab materials and get started.\r\n\r\nThe fidgets have had an equally powerful impact. Many students, especially those who struggle with focus, anxiety, or sensory needs, simply learn better when their hands are busy. Having appropriate fidgets gives them a positive outlet for movement so they can stay seated, listen, and participate. Instead of tapping pencils or getting out of their seats, they're calmer, more regulated, and ready to learn.\r\n\r\nWhat excites students most is the independence these tools give them. They love using the laminated centers and games because they feel more like activities than \"work.\" There's something special about writing with dry-erase markers, flipping durable cards, or using colorful, sturdy materials that makes learning feel fun and important. The fidgets are also a huge motivator students feel trusted and supported when they're allowed to choose tools that help them focus.\r\n\r\nI've seen particular growth in students who previously struggled the most. A few of my high energy and easily distracted learners now stay engaged for entire lessons with a simple fidget in hand. Some of my anxious students use them to self-soothe during tests or transitions. And students who need extra practice benefit from the laminated materials because we can reuse activities daily without the pressure of \"messing up\" a worksheet they just erase and try again.\r\n\r\nBecause of you, our classroom is calmer, more organized, more interactive, and more inclusive. These tools aren't just supplies they are supports that help every child feel successful. Thank you for investing in my students and helping create a space where they can truly thrive.","fullyFundedDate":1769177863581,"projectUrl":"project/mic-check/9915101/","projectTitle":"Mic Check!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Shaw","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp4332293_272x272.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1498608827728","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/4332293"},{"teacherId":10167796,"projectId":9572618,"letterContent":"On behalf of our school Student Council, my math students, and our entire school community, I want to sincerely thank you for your generous donations. Your kindness and support have made such a meaningful difference for our students, and I can't tell you how much we appreciate it.\r\n\r\nThe items you donated — positive posters, math manipulatives and 3D shapes, and plenty of pencils — have brought so much color, excitement, and encouragement into our classrooms and hallways. It might sound simple, but these things have truly brightened our school days and helped our students learn and grow in ways that go far beyond the materials themselves.\r\n\r\nThe positive posters were such a hit with our Student Council. They've turned our hallways into spaces filled with encouragement and hope. Now, as students walk to class, they see reminders about kindness, hard work, and believing in themselves. I've noticed kids actually stopping to read them and talking with their friends about the messages. Teachers have even used them as little conversation starters in class about resilience and character. It's amazing how something as small as a poster can have such a big effect on the school atmosphere. It's made our building feel more welcoming, and that's something our students notice and appreciate every day.\r\n\r\nIn my math classroom, the manipulatives and 3D geometric shapes have been an incredible addition. When we started our geometry unit, I saw how much easier it was for students to understand the concepts once they could actually hold and explore the shapes themselves. Instead of trying to picture them in their heads, they were turning them around, comparing sides, and counting edges. It's been wonderful to watch their confidence grow as they realize math isn't just about numbers on paper—it's something they can see and touch and make sense of. These tools have especially helped students who learn best through hands-on experiences, and it's made our lessons more engaging for everyone.\r\n\r\nAnd then there are the pencils—something so basic, yet so essential. Because we're a Title I school, not all of our students come to class with the supplies they need every day. Having a ready supply of pencils means no one has to feel embarrassed or left out if they don't have one. It removes a small but significant barrier and allows every student to participate fully. You'd be surprised how much stress a missing pencil can cause a sixth grader, and how much relief it brings to know that there's always one available. Your generosity helped make that possible.\r\n\r\nYour support has done more than just provide materials—it's helped build a stronger, more positive learning environment. It's shown our students that there are people out there who care about their education and believe in their potential. That message alone is powerful.\r\n\r\nThank you again for your thoughtfulness and generosity. You've helped make our school a place where students feel inspired, supported, and ready to learn. We're truly grateful for everything you've done to help our kids succeed.","fullyFundedDate":1756821736405,"projectUrl":"project/6th-grade-math-rocks/9572618/","projectTitle":"6th Grade Math Rocks!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Frank","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10167796_orig.png?crop=322,322,x19,y4&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1754869028637","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10167796"},{"teacherId":4332293,"projectId":9130478,"letterContent":"Our school is so thankful for the opportunity to replace some of the well loved books with new books!
