Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

This year I have a class of 12 4th grade Dual Language students. I teach at a Title I District that services students that comes from low-socioeconomic backgrounds and real-life experiences are essential to helping students succeed. Despite the many challenges they face students come into my classroom eager and excited to learn.

Every day, students have the opportunity to demonstrate and practice their leadership skills through meaningful interactions.

In our classroom, we follow the Seven Habits of Happy Kids. My students are always synergizing by working together, learning from each other in a respectful and safe environment.

My students are taught to think with a growth mindset and are continuously taking challenges and learning from them. My students are special because they never give up and they always strive to do their best in and outside of the classroom.

My Project

As technology usage continues to grow, it is crucial for students to recognize the importance of living a balanced lifestyle by increasing movement in the classroom.

These stationary bikes will allow my students to incorporate physical movement, enhance their learning, and at the same time make learning fun and engaging!

According to research, exercise helps build new brain cells, boosts the ability to retain new information, and gives students a positive outlook. These bikes will give my students the opportunity to embrace a healthy lifestyle while learning in the classroom.
