I want to provide my students with endless opportunities for their future. These students are full of life and imagination and show a strong desire to learn and succeed. I strive to be a motivating teacher, who shows them that I believe in them and know they can be ANYTHING they want to be!
Our school has a large population of free lunch students.
We have limited resources and funding. I want to be able to provide my students with the best resources to increase their love of learning and to make school a place they are excited to go to!
My Project
I would like to provide alternative seating options to my kindergarten students. Kindergarten children are very active and are constantly on the move! With the increase demands on time on learning, students are unfortunately losing time recess times.
Students need opportunities to move their body throughout the day and an active body means an active brain!
By providing the students with wobble seats and other forms of alternative seating my hope is that this will provide them with more stimulation which will in turn allow them to focus their attention more throughout the day.
I believe these options for alternative seating will not only help students with attentional difficulties but it will also improve our classroom climate by making it a fun and exciting place for children to learn!
