Help me give my students magnetic letters and letter trays to manipulate words and develop letter and sound awareness when learning to read!

My Project

First grade students need lots of experiences with letters, sounds and words as they are learning to read. These small letter trays fit perfectly inside desks and are printed with the letters helping students to organize quickly during learning. This alleviates losing valuable learning time retrieving and getting ready their materials.

Manipulating letters to make words, (word work) for students is a critical element in learning to read, especially for struggling students.

Children are able to make connections as they learn words are related by hearing rhymes, and switching out beginning and ending letters to make new words.

These boards will be used daily in our classroom during our phonics study!
