My Project

My students live in a Title I community and need exposure to materials that show and remind them they are special, important, and a valued member of the global community. That they can become more then their socio-economic background and have limitless abilities and possibilities. I would like to give every 5th grader in my school a copy of the book to encourage lifelong learning as they transition into Middle School, High School, and hopefully College one day.

This is a story about the importance of education and the potential of students to achieve greatness.

The book encourages students to give their best effort and take responsibility for their own learning. The students are called "dukes and duchesses" and are seen as the future leaders of the world. The story emphasizes the importance of seeking knowledge and displaying grace and loyalty in order to achieve success.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
