Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
In the middle of a valley is a class with eager and bright students needing your help. My students need materials to enhance math, writing and reading skills. The students in our class come from a range of socioeconomic, academic and cultural backgrounds. However, they have a lot more in common than they do different.
Our classroom is an inclusion class where there is a mix of general education and special education students.
Students learn from one another. They learn to become role models, peer reviewers and learn to get along with one another. One hundred percent of our students receive free breakfast and lunch.
My Project
The organizational materials we are requesting will make a difference in my students' learning and improve their school lives because the book bins would organize our classroom library and make it easier for students to access books. The desk plates will provide them with visual supports in writing and math, as well as a model to help them write their last names independently. These supplies will help create a positive learning environment.
Sometimes our students need motivation to continue working hard towards their goals.
The prize wheel and small prizes will enhance classroom motivation so student continue making progress and working towards their goals in reading, writing, math and behavior which will have a direct impact on their learning.
