This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am requesting materials to create a classroom treasure box/prize system, including sensory and fidget toys, Play-Doh, and small treats like candy.

These items will be used as positive reinforcement for meeting goals such as participating in lessons, using strategies, completing tasks, and demonstrating growth in communication skills.

The sensory and fidget items will serve a dual purpose. Not only will they act as rewards, but they will also help students regulate their focus and energy levels during learning activities. This is especially important for students who benefit from hands-on tools to stay engaged.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
