Motivation Matters: Incentives for Student Success

Help me give my students the food and incentives they need to come to school each day, so they can stay motivated, focused, and ready to learn in a safe, supportive space.

Ms. Jones Alternate Learning Center - Melrose Academy

Brooklyn, NY Grades 6-8

My Project

Many of my students face challenges that make it hard to come to school consistently—hunger, lack of motivation, and limited support at home. This project will provide snacks, hygiene items, and small incentives to help encourage daily attendance and positive behavior. By meeting their basic needs and celebrating their efforts, I hope to create a classroom environment where students feel safe, supported, and excited to learn. These simple items can make a big difference in helping them show up, stay engaged, and believe that school is a place where they belong.
