My students need organizational bins to keep neat and tidy, need reusable write and wipe sleeves for math games, need construction paper for projects, snacks and candy for motivation, and pencils to work.
My two groups of 24 students are fifth graders in a high poverty elementary school. They have a wide range of abilities, needs, and concerns.
My students love coming to school and show an excitement for learning even though they may deal with many struggles at home.
They want to do their best and prove that they are capable of being successful. My students love to show their successes and their knowledge to their teacher and classmates each and every day.
My Project
For this project, I have asked for organizational bins for math manipulatives, construction paper for projects, pencils for working, snacks and candy for motivational purposes and reusable write and wipe sleeves for my students to play math games. All of these materials are for organization and motivation and learning opportunities.
This project's goal is to allow my students to work in a clean, tidy and positive environment that is conducive to learning.
My students will be so happy to know that resources and materials are available at their fingertips and they don't have to worry about providing them for themselves.
