Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
As an inner city teacher, I see students overcome challenges they should never have to face. These students are dedicated, ambitious, and smart! They willingly approach any challenge asked of them. They truly deserve a wonderful classroom environment that is conducive to producing their best work! These students face enough challenges, getting an education shouldn't be one of them! Help me provide the school experience they deserve, by closing the achievement gap and giving them access to materials that will help them succeed. My goal is get laptops for student use in the classroom! They love technology as it provides them such amazing opportunities!
My Project
The students in this school are eager to learn. They have been contacting the school over the summer, ready to meet everyone and begin their educational journey. This shows me that these are kids that are willing to put in the effort and I want to be there to foster this hunger for learning. These are students that are not letting the low income area they live in be an excuse to hold them back, rather the motivation that pushes them forward. These 4 laptops will help provide learning opportunities for education growth. Students will research, read articles and utilize educational programs.
