My Students

How excited do you get when your favorite magazine comes in the mail each week or month? I know I love getting my magazines and seeing what each issue will bring! Help me give that same excitement to my class!

My students are readers who like to engage with real literature and love learning and talking about current events.

I would like to have real student centered magazines delivered weekly to my classroom for students to use to develop their knowledge and understanding about the world in which they live.

My Project

Scholastic News and Time for Kids are both magazines that include wonderful timely articles that students can engage with about events going on in the world around us. They include activities for the students to complete in order to deepen their understanding. The articles lend themselves to conversations about our world but are on a level that my students will relate to.

Magazines are a part of our life as adults, whether they are in print, online, or on some type of e-reader.

My students deserve the chance to interact with news magazines developed for students in order to enhance their learning in the classroom by connecting with current events in our world today.
