Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My young students are enthusiastic English language learners! They are motivated and always try their best despite any obstacles that come their way. Our school is located in an agricultural community. Due to the high cost of housing, many of my students live with more than one family in the same household. They all deserve a welcoming and comfortable classroom space with a variety of educational learning resources.
I’m constantly amazed by how much these young children grow and develop, not only academically but socially as well!
My Project
Making math fun and engaging for my young students has always been a motivating factor for myself as an educator. Using hands on manipulatives such as the Early Simple Machines Set will allow them to use their creativity and problem solving skills.
Kindergarten is the year students learn important foundational skills that will help them be more successful in school.
It’s important to have engaging materials like the individual math folder games, self-checking magnetic math cards and number bots in order to learn early math skills. My students need these resources so that their first year of formal schooling will be memorable and fun!
