My Students
Remembering Hurricane Harvey, while preparing for a positive future. My campus was one of the campuses that had some flood damage in parts of the school, but this hurricane did not break our spirit.
RESILIENCE is the word that I will use to describe my students because they have made an effort to remain strong despite the impact of Hurricane Harvey on the community.
These students are great because they come to school with an open mind and heart ready to engage in math instruction.
My Project
A fresh start to a new year. Rebuilding after the storm, while giving students the resources to use to enhance student instruction.
Providing relevant and engaging experiences in the math classroom, is important because it helps students build number fluency and make connections to math in everyday life.
The activity stations will give students opportunities to explore multiple concepts using real world experiences and will allow for differentiation in the math classroom. The Decimals, Fractions, Operations and Algebraic Thinking Activity Stations let students build skills independently and explore four major concepts through different tasks and activities.
Students will be able to collaborate in groups daily, reinforce concepts, and extend their learning.
