My Project

My students are special education students who are emotionally disturbed. My students were not able to make it in the district programs due to the severity of their behaviors. They are funny, kind, bright and charismatic, but have experienced a lot of trauma in their young lives. We focus on learning better self-control, being a friend, managing emotions, and strengthening coping skills.

Our students earn PAWS for meeting expectations each period.

The 4 expectations include: Being an Achiever, Being Responsible, Being Respectful and Being Safe. At the end of each month, students can cash their PAWS in for prizes. PAW Redemption is a big motivator for our students to try harder and they take great pride in being able to earn items.

We need your help, so we can continue to supply the PAW Redemption Store. Students work harder in the classroom and demonstrate better behavior when they are motivated. We want our students to be successful and to be achievers.
