This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

Work Hard! Be Kind! Be Better! My students live by these words everyday. They work very hard, they are ultra kind and they will be better students once they are equipped with the materials needed to drive their success.

In a building that rose from the rubble left by the devastating long felt aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, the students in my class are members of an inner city charter school but that does not stop them from working hard to build a better future for themselves.

My Project

Calendar math is a important part of the education of a kindergarten. With help from the pocket chart and magnets students will learn one to one correspondence, the days of the week, sight words and weather. In addition students will learn their class schedule and learn to recognize special important dates such as holidays, birthdays and field trip dates.

Donations to this request will help be a stepping stone in the beginning of the educational career of several students.

It will allow them to see that their earnest please for meaningful materials have been answered and fulfilled.
