Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Every day, I have the privilege of teaching an incredible group of adaptive education students who learn in unique and inspiring ways. Some of my students are nonverbal, some are working on early communication, some are building foundational academic skills, and others are learning life skills that will help them become as independent as possible. What makes them so special is their determination, their growth in the smallest moments, and the joy they show when learning finally “clicks.” My students thrive when learning is hands-on, visual, movement-based, and connected to real life.

With your support, these resources will turn my classroom into a place where every student can succeed on their own level.

The Flex-Space Jumbo Beanbag Seat will provide a calming sensory space for students who become overwhelmed or need help regulating their bodies. The Lakeshore Science Instant Learning Centers will give my students hands-on opportunities to explore, question, and discover through interactive learning. The Didax CVC Spelling Games, phonemic awareness materials, and magnetic money manipulatives will strengthen literacy, communication, and functional math skills that my students can use both in the classroom and in everyday life.

My goal is to build confidence, independence, communication, and a genuine love for learning in every child who walks through my door.
