My Project
Many of my students come to school hungry—not just for knowledge, but for food. While free lunch programs and food banks help, they often lack the fun, familiar snacks their peers enjoy. This project will provide beloved snacks—like granola bars, crackers, fruit cups, and more—so every student can feel included, nourished, and valued. Kids deserve dignity in what they eat, not just what's available. With your support, we can offer tasty, comforting snacks that fuel learning and foster equity.
Students will be empowered to choose snacks for themselves, promoting autonomy and respect.
The classroom will also use this as an opportunity to build a culture of equity, where we learn the importance of giving to others, taking only what we need, and ensuring everyone has access to the same comforts. It’s more than a snack—it’s a lesson in empathy, community, and shared responsibility.
