Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

This is my fourth year as a teacher and every year, I continue to learn. Through the supportive staff, the amazing opportunities to grow as a teacher, I can't see what there isn't to love.

My students are what drive me every single day to not only be a better person, but to be a better teacher.

Their enthusiasm and love for learning is the light on the darkest of days. Although they all learn a different way, they always want to help each other within the classroom and outside of the classroom. As a teacher, I couldn't want anything more.

My Project

My students are loving STEM, especially to build. However, I do not have enough for small groups to play and build. I am asking for more building tools so that they can continue their love and exploration.

STEM opens up the door for students, especially those who have not experienced it before.

I have asked for Legos, flexible building materials and other tools that will allow my students to build. Every day, as morning work, students are allowed to have free time with the building materials. I also give them time on Fridays, with more structure and academia to play and build with the STEM tools.
