Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
What makes our student-athletes special is their love and dedication for the sport of soccer. This admiration for the soccer sport not only comes from our students, but also from our coaches, school staff and more importantly from students' families who support their children and live for the game!
After a long day at school, students head to soccer practice with that same enthusiasm and energy that is felt on the first day of school or when you receive a new bicycle for the first time and you want to ride it all day long!
Our school's neighborhood community is considered a hub for the world of soccer where you enter small businesses and a soccer game may be showing on the T.V. from their native country. Also, you may enter another shop and find a soccer jersey with your favorite team's player number or you may even find a pair of soccer cleats in the color that you always wanted.
Thus, soccer is absolutely the number one sport at our school and we are all very supportive of our students for their love, enthusiasm and dedication towards the sport. Their love for soccer is truly amazing!
My Project
The soccer feet training kit will help with agility when students are trying to gain control of the ball and passing it to other team members. This takes lots of practice since students have to "think on their feet," that is, think quickly, have total control of the ball, and protect it from being taken away by the opposing team.
Also, it helps to have great coaches who are well trained and are teaching students the best strategies to help them play competitively against their opponents.
In addition, our coaches will use boards to draw-up strategic plays that will provide students with visual strategies of what they recommend for players to pursue. The red and yellow pennies will allow our lower and upper elementary students to practice against one another and develop that competitive edge. Further, making sure that our soccer balls are bumped with sufficient air so that they will not deflate during practices nor competitive games. Lastly, having a sturdy fast folding portable soccer goal for indoor and outdoor practices will assist students with kicking and making more soccer goals.
Overall, our lower elementary and upper elementary students will be super ecstatic about receiving additional practice equipment that will help them reach their soccer goal commitment and performance. We thank you kindly for your wonderful support and contributions.
