My Project
Although school starts at 8:10, many of my students leave home much earlier to catch the bus. Then, due to a campus that houses grades 6-12, our high school students do not have lunch until 1:00 pm. This results in hunger pains during the classes before lunch - and in exchange a decreased focus on classwork.
It is hard to focus on class when you are hungry; healthy snacks can ease those hunger pains and allow my students to be more engaged and ready to learn.
With your help, I can provide a snack basket for my learners so they can focus on the job at hand: learning!
