Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Every school year brings in a new group of students eager to learn a second language, with me as their facilitator. My students are amazing young adults who show talents and skills whenever the opportunity arises. These teens are going through so many physical, cognitive, and educational milestones.

They come from diverse backgrounds, yet they all share the same yearning to learn and become examples in their respective communities.

I am very proud to be part of their educational journey towards becoming well-rounded, exceptional human beings. These kids deserve the best tools and setting to allow for their learning to grow and reach their individual goals.

My Project

These materials will provide the necessary tools for my students to keep their communication Spanish skills sharp even if we find ourselves in remote learning. The ink for my printer is to provide them with paper copies of notes and practice activities. The notebooks, pencils, and reading books are to be used by them in their own ways. The buzzer system will allow us to have class competitions for proficiency checks. Many students come from demographics facing daily challenges that make it difficult to find these tools on their own.
