Help me give my students items to for their dramatic play center that encourages children to put down technology and engage with one another through conversation, collaboration, and imaginative play.

My Project

Kindergarten students learn best through active, hands-on experiences. Dramatic play provides an essential opportunity for children to develop oral language skills, social competence, self-regulation, and imagination. Many students enter school with limited opportunities to engage in unstructured, collaborative play due to increased exposure to technology and screen time.

By strengthening our dramatic play center, students will have daily opportunities to interact with peers, engage in meaningful conversations, negotiate roles, solve problems, and develop vocabulary in authentic contexts.

These experiences support academic success while fostering the communication and interpersonal skills necessary for lifelong learning.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
