My Project

Students learn best through play, and so I try to make our learning fun and exciting by engaging in various hands-activities. I would like my students to further develop their gross motor skills. Gross motor movements are important for young children to practice as they develop because they help young children learn how to coordinate and control their body movements. Gross motor skills also help lay the foundation to be able to complete fine motor movements such as pinching or grasping.

Fine motor skills can get stronger through using your fingers and hands.

For example, string beads, practicing with hole/paper punches, playing with playdoh/clay, manipulating magnets and small items, lacing, etc. This project will give students a fun, hands-on experience where they can strengthen their fine motor skills.

I know that these tools will develop my students' fine motor and gross motor skills so that they will be successful!
