My Students

I have a great class of 2nd-grade students this year. They love school and all the exciting learning that comes with this special year. My students come from diverse backgrounds and are proud to call our school home.

Because we are a small school, we have to rely on our parents and community to fund our key initiatives.

We come from a small, public K-5 elementary school proud of its small community and 50-year history. We want to continue to graduate well-rounded, innovative, giving and generous students. Our classroom has access to a few iPads already, but just 2 more would allow us to reduce our group sizes when using them and give more kids more opportunities.

My Project

My second graders are emerging readers, authors, and mathematicians, and they are anxious to take on the world. Having 2 more iPads would offer my kids more diverse and multifaceted avenues for learning.

The use of iPads for practicing and applying the academic skills that they learn throughout the day is invaluable at a small school like ours with limited teacher support.

The students will be able to collaborate with peers in creating projects, conducting research, and focusing on math and language concepts that are more complex in nature. With two more iPads, more of my students will have access to more robust learning.
