This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Every year I try to add more books to our class library to encourage students to read. I ask students for titles of books they have read or heard are good reads with the intent that they will pick up a book and enjoy reading!

Students take the time to share list with class.

This helps me generate a list that is based on actual student feedback. This makes it easy to want to bring high interest books for my students.

One of my goals as an educator is to help students build the habit of reading for enjoyment while improving academically informally.
