My Students

My students are eager to learn. They walk into my classroom every day, ready to learn and full of life. They love working with each other and are very curious about the world around them.

I teach in a Title I school, and my students come from a variety of backgrounds.

Over sixty percent of my students receive free or reduced-price lunch. They are ready for a 21st-century learning environment that helps them develop collaboration skills. These skills will prepare them for what the future holds. They also love participating in our weekly STEM/STEAM activities.

My Project

My students absolutely love math and they love games!

There are many fun board games that integrate deeper mathematical thinking into the gameplay.

These games help students develop skills such as multi-step problem-solving, spatial reasoning, pattern recognition, resource management and much more.

Using familiar games like Candy Land, Trouble, and Connect 4 and combining some important math concepts can be a game changer. These games will keep my students having fun and engaged and not even realize they are learning important math skills. Thank you so much for considering my project!
