My Students
Environment shapes experience, and that's how I view my Second Grade classroom. Our school is a Title I Elementary School on the Eastern Shore of Maryland.
My students are smart, creative kids who all learn in different ways.
When you walk into our classroom, you will see several students standing behind their chairs, some laying on the floor, and others sitting on a chair. A small population of my students have a love for sitting at a desk in a chair. They like to move, spread out, and find a spot in the classroom for them to achieve their personal best work. I would love for my students to have the opportunity to choose how and where they like to learn.
My Project
My students will be so excited to try new space options! I want the students to be able to feel comfortable in the chairs and cushions.
These extra flexible seating items will allow my students to have more seating options for Success.
I have seen other classrooms have success with the extra seating, so I would love to see my students thrive.
I want to have enough options for everyone, and they take their comfortable seats wherever they go. I have come to realize that not everyone can learn sitting up in a chair. With so many options, students find what works best for them in the room.
