I teach in a small rural town to a diverse group of young students eager to learn. My students come to school each day to obtain knowledge and skills that will lead them to a bright future. They enjoy to read and love to get their hands on books that interest them. Unfortunately, my classroom library is limited on interest books that intrigue them.
My eager students need these necessary resources to strengthen their reading ability and their love for reading.
My Project
My current students are absolutely obsessed about the author Mo Willems. My classroom is need of more copies of Elephant and Piggie books. Since my students have several opportunities to read during the day and at home, they are constantly checking out these books which leaves some students left empty handed.
My students are eager readers looking to strengthen their reading with Mo Willems.
At such a young age, they found a author that has sparked their interest. They love them so much that they are constantly checking them out at the library as well.
My students would love to have more copies so that everyone has the opportunity to have at least one of these books in their reading basket!
