This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

I work at a Title I school where the vast majority of our demographics are hard working, low-income families with over 80% of our students qualifying for free and reduced-price lunch. With severe budgets cuts this year, we are dependent on donations for much of what we use every day. It’s so important for school to be a safe and happy place that makes learning fun and engaging for the students. Every little donation makes a huge difference, and we appreciate all the help we can get!

My Project

Our kindergarten classroom is colorful and inviting with educational games and has a great library full of books! What was missing to enjoy all of the fun learning materials was places to sit comfortably that are not just hard plastic and metal chairs or the hard floor. We received a DonorsChoose.org project of 6 wobble stools, 6 balance ball chairs, and 20 wobble cushions and they are so wonderful we want a few more so more students can use these great seats!

The additional wobble stools, balance ball chairs, and wobble cushions in this DonorsChoose.org project will greatly benefit young kindergarten students growing, restless, bodies get the support they need as they engage in fun learning activities in the classroom!

When students are comfortable, they are able to have better focus and remain on task during lessons. Please help me to add more great flexible seating options to our kindergarten classroom by donating to this project today!
