I teach at a great Title I school. Our students come from all socioeconomic backgrounds, and we are becoming more ethnically diverse every day. We are a very large school, with over 1600 students in prekindergarten through third grade.
Even so, we create personal relationships with our wonderful kiddos.
I love my babies! There is nothing like watching them have a light bulb moment. I loved to find ways to reach each of my students. I will do anything for my little loves.
My Project
Each child learns at their own pace. While my class may be made up of second graders, they are all at different levels. Some of my students need extra help, and some can read on a sixth grade level! I love creating assignments that can push each child, at their own level.
By having more computers in class, I can create assignments that meet each child's unique needs.
There are many websites that I can use to differentiate instruction. For example, students can record themselves reading books that are on their level. There are math programs that change instruction, based on how a child learns. Computers will help me to differentiate instruction.
