My students need Chromebooks to work on ACHIEVE 3000 in my Reading class. They have been diligently working on ACHIEVE 3000 to bring up their reading levels. These Chromebooks will further their success!

Hooray! This project is fully funded
My diverse students are in school every day, eager to learn. The students at our school are from many different ethnic groups, cultures and religions.
This school seems to welcome all students with open arms.
The diversity of this school is a point of pride for staff and students. Their differences are celebrated. Many students may also be new to this country and may be learning to speak English. Any assistance with developing their language and reading abilities would benefit our school community. Unfortunately, being a public school in the school district of Philadelphia, we have had much needed funding reduced over the past years.
A significant number of students in my 7th grade reading classes are below 7th grade reading level. Fortunately, the 7th grade was part of a pilot program for ACHIEVE 3000. This is a research-based, computerized program that measures a student's Lexile Level (reading level) and then works with students to bring up their reading level. We have been using the program since September & I have seen increases in reading levels.
If we had more Chromebooks, my students' reading levels could really soar!
Plus, I teach Writing & Social Studies to my classes. The Chromebooks could be used in both of those classes. The increase of technology in my classroom will impact every student.
