My Students

My sixth graders are progressing as readers and writers and learning how to be successful socially, emotionally, and academically in middle school.

Each student is discovering inspiring authors, developing an original voice as a writer, cultivating an artistic talent and navigating the fascinating, and often challenging, modern world of adolescence.

Thanks in part to generous donors over the years, my students have a rich classroom library full of award-winning titles and diverse authors. Every year, we add to it as much as possible.

My Project

Many parents reached out to me who wanted to contribute to my last grant, but the grant was funded so quickly that they didn't get the chance. I know, it's a good problem to have! So, I decided to write another little grant with some more books that my students want on the classroom library shelves.

I am so appreciative of the community support to build my classroom collection and get more books into kids' hands.

And I can speak for the children that they are also very grateful and excited to see new books.
