This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students love books. They enjoy listening to me read out loud. They are always saying, "Read the story again!" At playtime, they role-play being teachers and reread the big books to each other. They especially love reading the big books I shared with the class previously. The only difference is that the classroom does not have a good place to store and hold them.

It is difficult for students to pull big books out for rereading and to put them back.

The storytelling activity kit I am requesting will make it a lot easier for my students to access our big books during our reading time. Storytelling activities make reading not only fun but engaging. Each storytelling activity kit comes in a storage bag and the request book storage rack will allow me to keep them safe and organized until we use them. I am also requesting a new big book "Five Little Ducks" for my students to help them learn how to count. The requested large big book bags will help me keep our current big books and DIY storytelling activities I have created safe and organized for years to come.
