This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I brought the bikes out recently since spring is here and 2 kids learned to ride a 2 wheeler! In like 15 minutes! What an amazing day that was!

Physical growth often equals intellectual growth.

Kids who learn, want to learn everything! These 2 bikes will allow students who are large or small to learn too! True inclusion!

Many of my students do not have opportunities to learn to ride a bike. For me, riding a bike was freedom. I never had a car until I was 28 and before that a bike was freedom!

Also, I teach kids the importance of wearing helmets. They think if they are a good rider they don’t need one. But I explain a car, an accident, can hurt you. It’s not about your skill.
