Monitoring Screen for 1 on 1 Classroom

My Students

I have always tried to help my students have the most current technology to use as they learn science. This helps them be engaged and learning important life skills.

Middle school students are excited about the world that is at their fingertips.

Sometimes a little too much. They feel "naked" without their phones and various other technology. This is the world they live in and the world they need to be prepared for. With having a 1 on 1 classroom next year, I hope that I can have the tools to help them learn to use the tools available responsibly.

My Project

As I have increased the use of computers and online digital work, they also have found ways to get themselves distracted. The monitor will allow me to use the school's monitoring system to help keep the students on the appropriate websites when taking online tests and completing digital work. The second screen will allow me to monitor students while using my computer screen as a guide for them.

Turning a class of 35 teens loose with computers would be a lot like giving them the keys to your car and saying go drive.

They need the help and guidance to learn to do it responsibly. These tools will provide me the ability to help them learn and be successful as they use the technology of today.
