My Project

Financial literacy and economics come alive when students can actively plan, calculate, collaborate, and organize their ideas. This project will provide our classroom with essential supplies—ink pens, pencils, Post-it notes, easel pads, Sharpies, paper clips, pencil holders, index cards, and glue sticks—to support hands-on learning experiences centered on money management and economic decision-making.

Students will use these materials as they explore real-world topics such as budgeting, saving, investing, credit, taxes, careers, entrepreneurship, supply and demand, and making informed financial choices.

Pencils and pens will support daily calculations, reflections, and financial planning activities, while index cards and Post-it notes will be used for vocabulary, budgeting simulations, goal setting, and quick assessments.

Easel pads and Sharpies will allow students to work collaboratively to create budgets, analyze economic scenarios, develop business ideas, and present financial strategies to their classmates. Glue sticks and paper clips will help students organize projects, financial portfolios, and interactive activities. Pencil holders will keep our shared materials organized and easily accessible so students can focus on learning.

These may seem like simple classroom supplies, but they are tools that will help students practice skills they will use throughout their lives. Financial literacy is about more than understanding dollars and cents—it is about developing confidence, responsibility, problem-solving skills, and the ability to make thoughtful decisions about the future.

Your support will give students the materials they need to turn financial concepts into meaningful, hands-on experiences. With these resources, students can learn to budget wisely, evaluate choices, collaborate with others, and build the financial knowledge needed for life beyond the classroom.
