My Project

I work at a low socioeconomic school where supplies can sometimes be tricky to procure! We reuse, recycle, and repurpose ALL the things... but sometimes we need more. We are working on a community installment that will involve all kids in the school and their families. Students are exploring various styles and will complete an installment and a school mural. In addition, students will use supplies to ensure their work will be able to compete with their peers at upcoming shows. We have an Art's Festival coming up as well as Youth Art Month.

My students come alive during their art lessons- they are free to explore their emotions, express themselves, create and explore, and just BE.

Art is the ONLY outlet for some of these kids- and I want them to experience it to the fullest.

I would love to introduce them to new mediums and explore new techniques with them on our creative journey. Thank you for your help and consideration- let's make some beauty!
