Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our high school population is roughly two-thirds Latinx. Studies have shown that representation in reading materials helps students succeed.

With the addition of these Spanish language materials, two-thirds of our students will be better represented, and have access to more books in their native language.

Student who are part of our district's Dual Immersion program will also have more materials to support their literacy in a second language.

Most of these books are Authentic Spanish (written in Spanish). Some are popular English titles translated into Spanish. Foreign Language teachers have added titles to this list as well.
